This is one of the most challenging treks available in Bhutan and route partially overlaps with the trail of the legendary Snowman Trek, the most difficult trek in the world. This grueling nine day journey will take you up to the Dhur Hot Springs, arguably the most beautiful hot springs in the Himalayas.

Months: March, April, September, October & early November

Day 01: Arrive Paro

Day 02: Paro Full Day Sightseeing

Day 03: Drive from Paro to Thimphu, afternoon Thimphu Sightseeing

Day 04: Drive from Thimphu to Trongsa

Day 05: Drive from Trongsa to Jakar(Bumthang)

Day 06: Start Trek in Kurjey(Bumthang) – Gorsum 18km, 6-7 hours

Day 07: Trek Gorsum – Lungsum 12km, 5 hours

Day 08: Trek Lungsum – Tshochenchen 15km, 6-7 hours

Day 09: Trek Tshochenchen – Dhur Tshachu 17km, 7 hours

Day 10: Trek – Dhur Tshachu rest day

Day 11: Trek Dhur Tshachu – Tshochenchen 17km, 7 hours

Day 12: Trek Tshochenchen – Gorsum 18km, 6 hours

Day 13: End Trek Gorsum – Dhur (motor road) 9km, 3 hours, drive to Jakar

Day 14: Morning Bumthang Sightseeing, drive to Punakha/Wangdiphodrang

Day 15: Morning Punakha/Wangdiphodrang Sightseeing, afternoon drive to Thimphu

Day 16: Morning Thimphu Sightseeing, afternoon drive to Paro

Day 17: Fly to onward destination

  • Double room on twin sharing basis in government approved 3 star hotels
  • Camping equipment and haulage for trekking tours
