We did the Jomolhari trip – it was very strenuous for middle aged Europeans who were not used to the altitude and perhaps the details we received of the trek did not adequately emphasize the severity of the walk. But – the view from the pass was worth all the effort. The cooks and pony boys were efficient and helpful- always smiling – which seems to be characteristic of the nation. Some unpleasant moments – but we would not have missed the experience – and shall remember them forever!
